Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planning Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction sequences, proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project (MSP), and MS Excel, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
The Planning Engineer will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget by developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (MSP).
Prepare baseline schedules and progress reports for construction projects.
Monitor project progress and identify critical path activities to ensure timely completion.

Construction Sequence Awareness:
Understand and apply construction methodologies and sequences to create realistic schedules.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment between planning and execution.

Resource Management:
Allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines.
Track and report resource utilization and productivity.

Drawing Interpretation:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Ensure schedules align with design and construction requirements.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc progress reports for stakeholders.
Analyze delays, deviations, and risks, and propose mitigation strategies.

Coordination and Communication:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct regular meetings to review schedules and address potential issues.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
Utilize MS Excel for data analysis, progress tracking, and reporting.
Prepare dashboards and visual representations of project progress.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in planning and scheduling for construction projects.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (MSP).
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Knowledge:
Understanding of construction sequences, methodologies, and best practices.
Familiarity with project management principles and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Primavera P6 or PMP (Project Management Professional) is a plus.
Experience in infrastructure, building, or industrial projects.
