Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer with strong experience in Infrastructure Projects and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, delay analysis, and coordination with project teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Prepare baseline programmes, revised programmes, recovery schedules, and look-ahead plans.
- Prepare work breakdown structures, activity sequencing, dependencies, and project milestones.
- Monitor project progress against the approved programme and highlight delays or critical issues.
- Track critical path activities and recommend mitigation or recovery actions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, histograms, and progress presentations.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Monitor manpower, material, equipment, and resource requirements against the project plan.
- Support delay analysis, Extension of Time submissions, and project control documentation.
- Attend progress meetings and provide planning-related inputs to the project team.
- Ensure planning documentation is properly maintained and aligned with project requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of planning experience in infrastructure and/or STP projects.
- Previous experience in Sewage Treatment Plant projects is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
- Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, dashboards, and reporting tools will be an advantage.
- Strong experience in baseline programme preparation, recovery planning, progress monitoring, and critical path analysis.
- Experience in delay analysis, EOT support, and project control activities.
- Good understanding of infrastructure construction sequences and STP project activities.
- Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage.
